Description
Earnie Welch has become known in Texas for the quality of his treatment-free queens. Each year, Earnie selects a few queens from his yards as breeder queens to produce the next year’s queen bees. This small stock is selected based on the performance of these queens during August and September when mite counts are high and colonies tend to nose dive when faced with pressure from varroa mites. Earnie’s queens have a reputation as good producers that can thrive without treatments. Your most important weapon against varroa mites is good genetics, which is why we are distributors for Earnie Welch’s nucs.
